Masko for Cursor
Create a mascot, animate your own artwork and add the finished assets to your codebase from Cursor.
Connect your account
The plugin has four workflow skills and a connection to Masko's hosted MCP server. Install the skills in your project:

Skills alone do not connect your account: enable Masko in Cursor's Customize page, connect the MCP server, sign in on masko.ai, choose a personal or team workspace and approve. No API key is needed.
To configure only the MCP connection, add this server to Cursor's MCP settings:

}The client ID is public configuration (a JSON client metadata document), not a credential. It is registered for Cursor only; other apps connect as shown in MCP server. Team connections require an owner or admin, and you can disconnect in Settings → Connected apps.
Start with your existing work
Try: “Show my Masko projects, mascots and credit balance. Don't generate anything.” Then choose a workflow:

Generation spends the connected workspace's Masko credits, which Cursor's subscription does not include, so review the cost first. The plugin can return a Stripe checkout link to buy more; team purchases require the team owner.
Use your own character
Reuse a saved Masko image, attach a downloadable file if the host supports it, or give an HTTPS image URL (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF up to 10 MB). The hosted server cannot fetch private network addresses or local paths, and a Cursor chat attachment may not give Masko a download URL. For a local-only image, upload it on masko.ai first, then ask Cursor to find the saved asset.
Put the result into your product
The agent follows each job until the assets are ready. For a canvas release, the integration skill installs the Masko player for your platform and connects your app's events to it with set and fire; a single looping clip plays in the same player from its hosted files (play one animation).
New mascots are private and preview URLs expire, so a public website needs public asset hosting or private delivery through your backend. The plugin does not deploy your app or put a mascot on your Mac.
Support
If tools are missing, check that the Masko MCP server is enabled and authorized, and reconnect through OAuth instead of pasting credentials into chat. Email paul@masko.ai with the request or job ID if an operation fails.
